We are thrilled to announce that the Hunger Response Team of Sterling (HRTS) has been awarded a generous $5,150 grant from the 100WomenStrong Foundation! This support is a huge boost for our mission to combat hunger and provide essential services to students in need across Loudoun County.
This year, 100WomenStrong awarded $639,000 in grants to 51 nonprofits serving Loudoun County. As Karen Schaufeld, the foundation's founder, beautifully put it, “Small acts, when multiplied by many, can make a huge impact.” We are honored to be one of the recipients and deeply grateful for the trust 100WomenStrong has placed in us.
This grant will allow HRTS to continue its work, providing meals and other resources to students who need them most. Together with 100WomenStrong and supporters like you, we can make a real difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
Since 2009, 100WomenStrong has disbursed $4.6 million in grants focused on shelter, health, mental health, hunger, and education. This incredible giving circle, founded by Karen Schaufeld and a group of dedicated philanthropists, has grown to 68 members, all working together to strengthen our community.
Thank you, @100WomenStrongLoCo, for believing in our cause and empowering us to expand our impact. As we move forward, this grant will help fuel our initiatives, providing much-needed relief and support to students and families struggling with food insecurity in Sterling.
