You can honor a teacher by helping support a student through HRTS Backpack Buddies, providing weekend meals for kids right here in our local schools.

How it Works

Simple. Meaningful. Done in minutes

  • Make a donation in honor of a teacher

  • Add their name at checkout (optional)

  • Download a printable thank-you card to share with them

Your gift supports local students

Through Backpack Buddies, HRTS provides six meals every weekend to students in:

  • Potowmack Elementary

  • Rolling Ridge Elementary

  • Sully Elementary

  • Horizon Elementary

  • Algonkian Elementary

  • River Bend Middle School

  • Potomac Falls High School

​

Additional support helps provide food, diapers, and other urgent needs for families in our community.

$12 provides weekend meals for one student

$50 supports one student for a month

$500 supports one student for an entire school year

Every dollar stays local and goes directly toward helping students in Sterling, VA schools.
